Just breathe.......a simple but powerful mantra, that helps to remind in the thick of it all.....Just following my breath, and the stillness that follows.....and I have been meditating, A LOT lately.....sometimes twice a day, but most days at least once a day.....and I am getting better and better at stilling my mind and letting the meditation flow.....and I have mentioned it was something I did not think I would EVER be able to do, at least not well......my mind feeling too "busy"......but turns out that was another lie I was telling myself.....I had to practice the stillness, and practice the practice if you will! And it has paid off.....it is one of my favorite parts of my day, and it pays off in so many places in my life.....and really now that I got over the hump, that doesn't surprise me.....I have always had a good imagination, and have been good at visualizing most anything.....so this is sorta in line with that......visualizing whatever I am being called to.. and I want to not use guided meditations at some point, but for now I really like them.....but THAT is not my new thing;-) I wanted to mention it again though because it is alongside the new thing I am going to try! Yoga:) Yoga has been calling to me for awhile.....but timing is everything right, that is a saying for a reason:) My kids go to their dad's for dinner on Wednesday nights most Wednesdays, so I am going to try and swing a 6pm yoga class on Wednesdays! I have meetings also on some Wednesdays but I think I can make it work! So that is my plan tonight if I can pull it off....and I feel like it is another practice in mindFULLness......helping to shrink the FULL part....my writing each day helps me release the valve of my mind also......letting out some of what I am thinking or pondering.....or what is touching down for me to take a look at.....and it helps me.....and so does meditation....and well I am hopeful yoga will too.....I had done yoga once a week when I was pregnant with my daughter and I could not believe the difference it made....once a week....and loved it, so I am excited to place this into my exercise flow....and the place I am going has a dragonfly in the window;-) So there is my sign! Cheers to new things, things that help me be healthier and even happier! :)
