Yesterday was a long and fun day...........It started with us visiting my Aunt Linda's grave near where we had stayed in Massachusetts......I have written of my Aunt Linda before...one of MY people in this life. Another person besides my mom and dad that loved me fiercely...I love that we get those people too along our journey.....and I admired and loved her deeply.... she passed from breast cancer, and it was one of the hardest things ever....she was so well loved by all that knew her, always a light......and I will always miss her.... she used to live up this way, and taking the time to visit her grave was a great idea....we sat in the cemetery and reminisced......and felt her presence some.......and could feel her all around where we were.....New England was a place she loved indeed.......and then we headed on to Bar Harbor.....we took the scenic route to Bar Harbor....and it was a beautiful ride up.....and when we got there we headed down toward the water and found parking....and it was such a beautiful day! The sun was shining, the sky so blue......and seeing all the boats and the water was lovely....the kids were excited to be there......and so were we.....we walked around some, and the ocean and coast had beautiful views......it was a gorgeous day with lots of beautiful sights.....we then walked around the little town and got to see lots of cool shops.....there was some live music happening when we passed by one of the places, and it was fun to check it all out....there were also some really beautiful places overlooking the ocean we got to see.....we then grabbed some ice cream.....and Mads and Gabe wanted a t-shirt.......so we picked that up, and then we headed on to the house we are staying in, which is outside of Bar Harbor and Acadia......and it is in this cute little town called Gouldsboro....... it is across the street from the water....a charming little house.....this morning we woke to rain....but it looks like it will clear by noon....we have a ticket to drive up Cadillac Mountain this afternoon, and see some great views and grab some hiking today.....we also want to explore the town we are in some......I was glad we decided to head to Bar Harbor first yesterday and not come here.....the sunshine and loveliness was on point, and if we had headed here first we would have missed it! :)Excited for the day ahead! I really needed some time away and am grateful for it! Enjoy the day! :)

A broken heart......
