More red carpet!

This week has been extra huh?? It is ending in an eclipse this weekend, so hold onto your hats folks;-) I had a lovely week at work this week though.....loving my class....amid the life bumps that have found this week.......we have a nice small class size and they are just a lovely group of kids and I am looking forward to journeying with them.....I have one student that had some behavior early on, and has a sad tale from what I gather....and I decided to just focus on building rapport with him and it has paid off.....he made me a picture yesterday that had a hidden message, saying best teacher:) So he gets what I am doing, and I look forward to his having a great year this year too;-) But the red carpet I speak of happened last night......alignment along the universal juju cosmic highway if you will lol;) My one brother and I, and my kiddos, and my aunt went to decorate for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary party today.....and it will be held at Eddy Farm.....there is a gracious group of people that reside there, that are just lovely....I had written about them before and their hospitality....having been introduced to them through my brother and his ministry.....so we decided to have it there....and we are having the food catered by Two Rivers:) YUM:) So all moving pieces are moving and coming together.....and I was on decorating duty.....and I had been there before.....awhile ago.....and my intention was to get back there to see the room as I made a plan for decor...but life took over, and it didn't happen.....so I went on instinct, trusting that it would work out.....:) And so my plan was to use succulents as centerpieces.....not ever liking making centerpieces that get stored somewhere never to be used again....so these centerpieces will double as favors for the guests:) My brother and his wife offered up their runners from their wedding, which were a sage green....and I got some amber votives, and other burlap type touches.....cream and sage balloons etc......and made all those pieces go together......and when I got there they were setting up....and they have a good deal of things around there.....sort of chachkie type things, so it needed a little love to rework it some:) But they had gold chairs at the tables.....and gold is a very specific color...certainly not matching with just any decor.....so the palette that had found my intuition worked perfectly! Down to the sage stickers that were on the succulent wraps that says "Let Love Grow" and it all came together.....as it always does:) I always trust it! And it is what I have found alignment feels like......the zone if you will:) And it always is a reminder to me to step in faith.....so I felt solid about the room when we left. But while we were there a huge dragonfly flew through the room....the room has these great garage doors that open and are right on the river:) And this dragonfly was huge.....and it was confirmation that my sister is not all that far away.....watching over us:) So the evening magically came together.....I am excited for the party and to see people I haven't in a long time and celebrate such a major milestone for my parents! 50 years is something indeed:) Happy Saturday:)
