Out with the old, in with the new!

As I have been reflecting on the things that have been shifting inside of me, and beginning a new era, that feeling resonating so deeply within me... it occurred to me yesterday, as we were preparing for a new school year, that my children are too.....they both begin new adventures today too! My daughter transitioning from private to public school, and my son beginning his transition program post graduation.....we are all beginning new eras so to speak.....starting new stories......and moving along into new spaces, in my case within, and in theirs physically......however I have no doubt it will continue within them too.....as they evolve into the places they also are meant to be......rapid change has been the name of the game this year, and accepting and embracing it completely to lead where we want to go:) I was so happy to be reunited with my kids yesterday, having missed them so much. They greeted me in the driveway at my parent's house, and just kept saying how much they missed me, which felt great, because I had missed them so much too! They had a great time, both coming home with great tans and happy faces:) We laid low yesterday, having one more day to cozy in before we all begin today....Opting for an early night's sleep! I am excited for them both today, and will be eager to hear about their day later......My daughter and I have made a plan this year to walk to the late bus to grab my son every day. A time just for us....to talk about our day and share it all.....it is about a mile walk round trip, and will also be great additional exercise.....so that begins today too and I am sure we will have lots to talk about.....my son still gets to be a part of the football program and stay after for that....so that is a blessing amid my work schedule! I am very excitedly anticipating a new set of kiddos, and beginning a new school year......In one of our trainings this year we discussed the gift that is found in teaching, that it comes with a new beginning, and fresh start every single year......a place to reset and begin again.......clean slates, fresh ideas, new places, all of it.....so today begins that for the three of us:) A new jumping off point to begin again.......and step into our new eras, chapters beginning, with new titles and new destinations:) Clean slates and new beginnings, and we are here for it!
