The West is calling!

I am beginning to hatch plans to take myself, and my kids out west to do some hiking this summer! I am figuring out "the way" now......:) I think it has been one of the most rewarding things I have done in my single mom life.....traveling with my kids on our own......we have such fun, and the kids always get excited about the places we will go.....but this has been nudging me, calling to me, and I need to put inspired action behind it, and figure it all out.....I would like to have us see Sedona......the Grand Canyon, and some places in Utah.......And those places are in a straight line with one another, so it seems feasible.....I also have a great friend that lives out west, and I am hoping she can find a way into our adventures too! I know summer is not the optimal time due to the heat, but......we have off and must work with what we have! And I need to make it work when we can for sure......But it is exciting to think of.....it has been on my bucket list for a long time.....a LONG time:) And the kids love nature like me, and won't even be able to imagine such beautiful landscape.....and this will be the biggest undertaking I have taken on myself, no question.....but I think the reward will be great! I was looking at used pop up campers to defray some cost, but I do not like the idea of driving that with my SUV.....it doesn't sit totally right.....I would love a driveable camper, a small one.....but the price range starts higher for them.....right out of the gates......so maybe we will fly, and rent a car there and drive around.....or fly there and drive back.....or maybe driving out will work too:) See it is those details that will find their way......I am trusting there will be a way......I want to spend a couple of weeks if I can....since we are off, and we are already there! So much to see.....The furthest west I have been has been Louisiana, and I also went to Michigan and Tennessee....but true west has yet to be explored;-) ......so it is time to explore.....I am currently saving money.....I am wanting a larger nest egg overall, and travel fund! Working hard to make it all come together, and I have deep belief that it will, I love chasing our dreams:) Nothing better:) And these are the days indeed:)xo
